Aug. 21, 2007 Update

Call for submission for computer visualization contest and student award

Two contests will be organized as the associated academic events of APCOM'07 in conjunction with EPMESC XI.

•  Computer Visualization Contest

All conference attendees are invited to submit computer visualization works for the contest. (Paper submission is not required but the registration must be done via web site.) All the submissions should be the visualized numerical outputs of computational mechanical models. The contest is divided into graphics section and animation section for which the submissions will be evaluated and awarded separately. Only one submission, either graphics or animation, is allowed for an author, or a group of co-authors. The interested authors should send via e-mail a one-page description including the author(s)'s name, affiliation, keywords and abstract to apcom-epmesc2007@jatis.jp no later than September 18, 2007 .

The procedure of submitting media will be notified later on.

•  Student Award

Graduate students are invited to participate the contest that awards a few presenters based on the academic content. The student must be the first author and is required to make a presentation by himself / herself at the conference. Paper submission and registration via the conference web site are required no later than September 18.
